I went to this school for a few months in 1961-1962. My name at the time was
Maria Di Folco and I used to live on a farm called Gorrenberry. I have fond memories of a bonfire night and Xmas at the school as well as spring time with snowdrops and primroses in nearby woods? Couldn't believe it when I saw the picture of the school with the railings. I think there was an old teacher there at the time and I remember kicking her in the legs because mum walked past the school when I was in the playground one day and I thought it was time to go home when it wasn't. I kicked the teacher because she wouldn't let me go with my mum. I felt bad afterwards because that teacher died (not because I kicked her - old age I think). I would have been 6-7 years old. We enjoyed looking at your website, we discovered that you have 70 pupils, in our school there are nearly 200 children. Soon we will be visiting Newcastleton and now know a little bit about what the village is like. Hawick is cool but will never be as good as nps. Its huge but we know the way round now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really miss u all at ps. Hawick high is good but will never live up to newcastleton. At high skool the older ones are looking after us, and most of us R finding r way round.

I loved the website and the pictures of inside and outside really show off the school. The Art in the school is always first class and it was one of the things I loved to do when I came to visit and that was to walk round and see what exciting additions you had made to the wall displays. Well done on a very good website.

Although I did not attend your school, I was at Hawick High School at the same time as Mrs Robertson. To all staff and pupils, keep up the good work.
